Basic Gaming Rules

Big Screen Kings Race Rules

The following rules apply to all Big Screen Kings tournaments and events.

1. Respect Other Racers

  • Treat all racers, spectators, venue staff, and tournament officials with respect.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a warning, race penalty, or disqualification.

2. No Interference

  • Players may not physically, verbally, or otherwise interfere with another racer during competition.
  • Intentionally distracting, obstructing, touching, or disrupting another player during a race is grounds for immediate disqualification.

3. Stay in Your Assigned Station

  • Racers must remain in their assigned race station during active competition.
  • Leaving your station during a race may result in a penalty or disqualification.

4. No Pausing

  • Pausing the game during an active race is prohibited.
  • Any racer who intentionally pauses gameplay may be disqualified.

5. No HOME Button

  • Pressing the HOME button during an active race is prohibited.
  • Pressing the HOME button will result in immediate disqualification from the event.
  • The race may be restarted without the disqualified racer.

6. No Tampering With Equipment

  • Players may not disconnect controllers, cables, consoles, displays, or tournament equipment.
  • Tampering with equipment may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event.

7. Be Ready To Race

  • Racers are responsible for being present when called to their race station.
  • Tournament play will not be delayed for absent competitors.

8. No-Show Policy

  • If a racer fails to report when called, their kart will be played "as it lies" and considered abandoned on the track.
  • Tournament officials may advance play without the absent racer.

9. Tournament Officials Have Final Authority

  • Tournament officials may issue warnings, penalties, race restarts, or disqualifications when necessary.
  • All tournament rulings are final.

10. Have Fun

  • Competition is encouraged.
  • Good sportsmanship is expected.
  • Keep it clean, keep it competitive, and keep it fun.
